Quick Summary:
Brought together by an accident childhood best friends Kang Dan-i and Cha Eun-ho bonded over their love of reading. Fast forward to adulthood, Cha Eun-ho is now a successful author and chief editor of a publishing company (my dream job). Kang Dan-i once a promising copywriter is now a divorced single mother, unemployed and secretly working as Cha Eun-ho's housekeeper.
Unaware of her living situation and all the hardships that Kang Dan-i is facing, Cha Eun-ho is shocked when the woman he has romantic feelings towards shows up at an interview for an entry-level task assistant role that she is far too qualified for at the company he works at and he discovers her life isn't going as well as he thought it was.
Who is My favourite character:
There are so many characters in this show that I love but my favourite character by far is Cha Eun-ho played by Lee Jong-Suk.
From the outside, you would think that his character has everything he could ever need and doesn't have a care in the world when in reality he has a secret that is eating him up inside. A promise he made to his teacher who was like a father to him at a young age which he is now second-guessing as their health deteriorates with each passing day. Does he tell the world the truth or keep the promise he made and let the world forget his teacher?
You just want to give him a really big hug he really needs one.
The best part of the drama:
One of the best scenes in the show is when Kang Dan-i's idea on how to market a new book they are releasing by a not-well-known author is accepted, and you just can't help but feel joy along with her for her achievement as she had given up hope on being able to anything within the creative field that she studied.
Would I recommend:
100% yes I would, if you like love stories and reading then this K-Drama is perfect for you.
